Important Upcoming Events

*October 12, 2021

Greetings Parents/Guardians,

We have completed a month and a half  of school and we continue to move forward.

Please mark your calendars for the following upcoming events:

*Parent Teacher Conferences: Wednesday, October 27, 2021 (4PM-6PM)
*Halloween Parties: Friday, October 29, 2021
  *Book Fair: Friday, October 22, 2021 – Friday, October 29, 2021.  On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, we will have extended hours:  4pm – 6pm

This year parents who would like to meet with their child’s teacher can schedule to do so starting Wednesday, October 13, 2021 until Monday, October 25th, 2021.  Times will be in 10 minute increments starting at 4PM until 5:50 PM. You will need to have a scheduled appointment to enter the building on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.  Masks will be provided if needed and are required to be worn while in the building.

Book Fair will have extended hours on Wednesday, October 27th, 4PM – 6PM. We are encouraging everyone to make plans to visit and support our book fair. We will monitor the number of people browsing at any given time to ensure a safe and fun book fair experience.

Halloween parties for classes will be on Friday, October 29, 2021.  Only items that are individually wrapped from a store will be shared with students. Students can dress up in a costume as long as they follow these guidelines: No weapons, make-up in moderation (not covering the child’s whole face), and no ski masks.  The school reserves the right to review costumes and determine if they are a distraction to instruction.

Parents, we need your help in two areas: Afternoon dismissal and early releases.  If you know  your child has a medical appointment, please plan to pick them up on or before 2:30PM. This allows us to prepare and finalize our list for student dismissal.  If you are picking up your child from the car rider area (gravel lot) you can arrive at 3:30PM and reduce your wait time.  We begin sending students out of the building around 3:25PM.

Finally, we ask you to monitor your child’s health and the health of everyone in your household.  To help keep our community healthy it is going to take all of us doing our part: wearing a mask and socially distancing when in groups.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

Sincerely,

Davis Roberts, Jr.
